Elite Math Circle receives
certs in Aussie math contest

EIGHT MAKATI SCIENCE High School Elite Math Circle members brought home certificates from the 2008 Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) conducted in the Philippines at the Saint Stephen High School, City of Manila, July 31.

Ananias Garcia Quipit of II-Charles Darwin and Joanne Jennifer Espina Tan of III-Neils Bohr earned certificates of credit, while Aldrich Aldwin Aberilla Mayoralgo and Andrew Joelle Fabio Caguntas of I-Galileo Galilei, Kirven De Guzman Molas of II-Charles Darwin, Francis Jem Peralta Reyes of III-Neils Bohr, Joel Edward Berces Cardinal of IV-Madame Marie Curie, and Roochie Mico Villaluz Cosico of IV-Enrico Fermi, received certificates of distinction from the AMC.

The AMC was organized by the Australian Mathematics Trust and sponsored by the University of Canberra and the Westpac Banking Corporation.
